2015 – Compassion Ireland

In 2013 Daysha began working with Compassion Ireland to help in their mission to advance the education of some of the world’s poorest and desperately deprived young people.

Compassion has registered over 1.3 million children from desperately poor backgrounds into its projects around the world. These children are nurtured and developed, – physically, educationally, emotionally and spiritually – before graduating from the projects with hope for a brighter future. However, many of these young people have the capability to go on to further education but lack the funding to do so.

This is where the Leadership Development Programme (LDP) steps in. With your support, Compassion is able to give the students with exceptional academic and leadership potential the opportunity to study further. These students have already overcome significant obstacles in life; they are passionate, committed and dynamic individuals dedicated to serving their communities with their gifts and talents.

Where does Daysha fit in? A core element of Daysha’s business is finding good people and educating them. This venture with Compassion is a seeding initiative to look outside conventional skills pools and help individuals in less advantaged countries to achieve academic and subsequent business success.

This year Daysha is expanding its sponsorship to partially fund two students (Elssy Makena Riungu and Ronald Tugume), to complete a primary Degree in IT. These students have an exceptional academic and leadership potential the opportunity to study further, and in an ideal world work with our customers in years to come.

To kick start the fundraising effort to fund Ronald and Ellsy’s education and enthuse others about this program Daysha is running a Golf tournament on the 7th August at Greystones Golf Course, shotgun start at 2pm. The cost of entering a 4 person team (male, female, juniors – all welcome) is €500 to include green fee, lunch and dinner.

We had a great turn out for last year and this year we hope to double it. Please come along and support this great cause.
